The Sons of the American Legion propose to sponsor a Fire Hydrant Painting Contest to help promote Americanism and to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the founding of our country. The Fire Hydrant Painting Contest will require approximately 25 Commercial type fire hydrants along Cloverdale Boulevard that will be painted in a patriotic theme by participating organizations and individuals within our community.

*Sons of the American Legion Squadron 293 will sponsor this program with the approval of the City of Cloverdale, Cloverdale Fire Department, Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion.

*Fire Hydrant Painting Rules are written on the application and have been reviewed and approved by the Fire Department and the City of Cloverdale.

*This program is not designed to be used as advertisement but simply to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country. A small section on the back of the hydrant is allowed to paint the name of the individual, business or organization that painted the hydrant.
