WHAT IS MANHATTAN SHORT? MANHATTAN SHORT is not a touring Festival; rather, it is an instantaneous celebration that occurs simultaneously across the globe, bringing great films to great venues and allowing the audiences to select their favorites. During September 26–October 6, 2019, more than 100,000 film lovers will gather in over 300 screening venues across six continents for just one reason—to view 10 outstanding short films chosen as finalists in the 21st annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. Last year—more than 40 libraries from across the USA joined the event with great success, producing an enthusiastic response from the participating libraries and their filmgoers. This success showed us that libraries are not just about books, they are about community and building community. And that is exactly what The Manhattan Short Film Festival is all about too—bringing communities together across the globe to enjoy a handpicked selection of the world’s best short films.

by Caroline Smith ? Long-time rival cooking show hostesses Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle have been bitter enemies for thirty years, when Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. When they are forced into an unwanted partnership co-hosting a TV show called “The Kitchen Witches,” what was meant to be a cooking diva docu-drama, turns into on-set warfare. Dolly’s long-suffering TV-producer son tries to keep the co-hostesses on track but to no avail, with predictable results—the show becomes a ratings smash hit! ? Suggested audience high school and older--mild adult themes. Students $12 Adults $25 Produced by Cloverdale Performing Arts Center ? Directed by Amy Lovato ? Generously sponsored by Joan Meisel & Lee Hunt and by Dobie Edmunds & Thom King
