Lunch at the Library

FREE lunch for ages 18 and under. Monday through Friday 12:00pm - 12:30pm The Sonoma County Library is partnering with the Redwood Empire Food Bank to offer free nutritious meals to kids 18 and younger. Lunch at the Library provides children and teens with free and healthy summer lunches, and summer reading and enrichment programs, to help combat hunger and obesity and prevent summer learning loss. Lunch at the Library is a project of the California Library Association and California Summer Meal Coalition. The project is funded by a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and it is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.

Sing a Story Opera

Time: 3PM to 4PM

Join us for an exciting, interactive presentation of the opera Das Rheingold, by Richard Wagner. A professional opera singer from the San Francisco Opera Guild will engage children in the telling of a classic opera story, magically unveiling props and costumes, and encouraging the entire group to act out the opera and sing excerpts.
