Christmas in June benefitting the Cloverdale Food Pantrye

Time: 5 pm to 7 pm

Where: Veteran's Hall

During summer months, the Cloverdale Food Pantry supplies are dramatically depleted. To cover the shortage, the Pantry must purchase most of the food except the fruits and vegetables gleaned by gardeners who donate their excess. Christmas in June event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Hall at 205 W. First Street on Wednesday, June 21st from 5-7. Refreshments and appetizers will be served along with a specialty winetasting. There will be community activities to help the Food Pantry as well. You are asking how you can help. Bring 20 lb. bags of rice, beans and canned food, such as vegetables, tuna and peanut butter Donation of appetizers for the event Financial donations to help defray the Pantry's expenses Yummy homemade cookies for the cookie exchange Come and support the event Please contact the Food Pantry at 707-396-8383 with questions and how you and your organization can help. We always need volunteers. Help make hunger take a holiday!

Books on Stage with Janelle Hanchett

On Wednesday, June. 21 at 7 p.m., the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center’s “Books on Stage” program welcomes Janelle Hanchett, the writer behind Renegade Mothering, which she established in 2011 to “wage war on helpful parenting advice.” Through its success, she has since “quit her day job” of teaching English and now writes full-time (well, when she’s not wrangling her four children). “Books on Stage” will take place on Wednesday, June. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center, 209 N. Cloverdale Blvd. The event will be followed by wine, cheese and conversation in the theater lobby. There is a $10 suggested donation.
